I was so freaked out that I rushed over and grabbed Lucas, who was barely keeping his balance.

"Are you okay?" I asked, worried.

Seeing the pained expression on Lucas's face as he covered it with his hands, I turned to Alex and shouted, "Have you lost your mind? Did you pop out of nowhere to assault someone? Apologize to him. Now!"

Alex was stunned for a second, then his expression turned to pure anger and indignation.
