When Mom got home, Dad had already made dinner.

Seeing the house all neat and tidy, she thought I must've come back.

She yelled toward the bedroom, "Nadia, get your ass out here! Where the hell have you been the last few days?"

"Nadia's back?" Dad asked, looking puzzled.

"She's not back?" Mom asked.

"Nope," Dad replied.

Mom sounded hoarse as she said, "I saw the house all tidy and thought she was back."

Dad explained, "Oh, I just wanted to make you happy, so I tidied up the whole place when I got back."
