I ended the call and stared at the photograph. The girl with the glowing smile stared back.

An invisible hand seemed to squeeze my heart. The ache was so sharp I could scarcely breathe.

The woman living in my apartment now. The one with the faded flower tattoo on her wrist. Could she truly be Halle?
