When I got back to my desk, I saw Anaiah sitting there, going through my things like she owned the place.

My temper flared instantly. "Ms. House, hasn't anyone ever told you not to go through other people's stuff without permission?"

Anaiah jumped up and started apologizing, but as she moved, the glass pen holder on my desk toppled to the floor.

With a loud crash, it shattered into a million pieces.
