Chapter 4

Jesse emerges from the bathroom with a towel slung low around his waist.

Kirill's temporarily distracted by his abs—and the subsequent urge to lick them.

He forces his eyes away and crosses the room to pull out the t-shirt and sweatpants he set aside.

"Here," he says.

Jesse blinks at them.

"I can wear my own clothes.

I just forgot to bring them in—"

"You should stay.

Stay for dinner." His throat feels tight, like it's constricting around the words, trying to push them back down.

"I have leftover salmon."

It's unassuming this way, he thinks.
