Chapter 3

I was so annoyed that I had to laugh.

If she was clueless, she still knew she could use a video to threaten me.

If she had any brains, she would've gotten her story straight with Charlie before coming over.

She actually mistook me, his real mom, for the other woman.

I quietly grabbed my phone, called the police, and sent a message to Charlie.

Charlie freaked out.

He replied: [I don't have a girlfriend. When did I get one? Why am I the last to know?

[Mom, just hang tight. I'm downstairs already.]

So she wasn't even Charlie's girlfriend.
