At the door, I stopped and turned back to Sylvia. "Sylvia, this isn't over."

I slammed the door behind me and stormed out. When I got home, Alex was already there.

"Did you go stir things up at the Grant residence?"

He stood up, looking furious.

"Sylvia called me, bawling her eyes out, and Leo couldn't even face anyone. Do you even know what people think of me now?"

"So what?" I shot back, staring him down. "You really expect me to just swallow it and do nothing?"

"You should've talked to me first! Instead, you stormed over there and…
