The next morning, I got the divorce papers from Lennon Wagner, the attorney. I texted Kai to come home early that evening, as we had something important to talk about.

Kai replied soon after, acknowledging my message.

But as the night dragged on, I was still waiting at 10 PM, without a trace of him. I wasn't too surprised and began to pack my belongings.
