On the day my husband brought his pregnant mistress home, I was in the kitchen making him soup. He slammed the divorce agreement onto the table and sneered, saying I couldn't have children and was "useless and wasting space." The mistress stood there with her pregnant belly, looking at me with open provocation. She even tried to knock over the soup I had just finished simmering. I didn't cry or make a scene. I simply signed the papers calmly. Then I picked up the boiling pot of soup and poured it over the mistress's head. Screams filled the house. My husband rushed at me like a madman, grabbing my throat with bloodshot eyes. I was suffocating, but a strange smile curled on my lips. I asked, "Why are you so anxious, Honey?" "Did you forget what you put in the soup you gave your ex-wife five years ago, when you were trying to fake a life insurance claim?" His grip froze instantly. His face turned pale. I pushed him away, straightened my collar, and said softly, "Does the taste of that soup... feel exactly like the coffee you've been drinking today?"
