James looked upset. "Let's talk about this at home."

"It's not something we can explain at home," I replied.

The atmosphere in the conference room suddenly turned awkward.

Mark Evans sat quietly nearby, glancing between James and me. He could tell something was wrong and wisely said nothing.

I pulled a notice out of my folder and slid it across the table to James.
