Arriving at work, I quickly changed into my uniform. My boss, Thomas, had been fuming, but when he saw the bruises on my face, his anger noticeably subsided.

"Sigh, if it weren't for the fact that you're raising a child alone, I would've given this job to someone else ages ago," he muttered. "Later, I need you to handle the VIP room guests. Make sure you wear your mask to keep your injuries hidden."
