But when I arrived at the five-star hotel Megan had sent me the location of, I remembered a fight Julian and I once had.

I had seen this hotel in Julian's text messages six months ago.

I thought it was just spam, so I deleted it for him.

The next morning, Julian confronted me:

"Why did you delete messages from my phone?"

His sudden anger caught me off guard.

I could only stammer out an explanation, saying I thought it was junk mail.

Julian's face turned cold as he snapped at me:

"Didn't I tell you? Don't touch my phone."
