The violent bangs echoing from downstairs rattled the silence of the estate, but Cristiano didn't pull away from me.
He stayed right above me on the silk sheets, his chest rising and falling heavily against mine. His dark eyes searched every line of my face with a deep, aching tenderness that made the world outside that door feel completely powerless. He brought his thumb to my bottom lip, tracing the soft, swollen curve with slow reverence.
