I shot back, "Of course I'm a hater. I roast you every single day, just waiting for you to flop."

Matthew shook his head, his eyes turning almost obsessive.

"You're paying attention to me," he said.

I couldn't help but think how absurd this was. Paying attention? Seriously? I was just here to trash him.

"Are you seriously calling a hater's attention actual attention?" I shot back.

He ignored my sarcasm completely and just stood up, walking right up to me.

"Alice, do you really think I'm a bad idol?" he asked.
