Chapter 7 · He Stole My Mother's Ward

The comments were all blowing up with the same line: [Michael's wife walked in.]

Emily's hand hovered over the phone stand, ready to end the live stream.

"Don't turn it off," I said.

Her hand froze.

"Let your fans see this," I said.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and pulled up the photos of the documents with the official seals.

I held it up to her live-stream camera. "All shares of Healthwell Medical Center have been transferred. The owner is Victoria. That's me."

Emily sat there on the bed, totally stunned. "What do you mean?"

"It means this room, this bed, this equipment, this medicine, and that vase of flowers all belong to me," I said. "Get out of my bed."
