Exactly one hour later, Ethan stepped out of the elevator onto the private rooftop.

A satisfied, confident smile played on his lips as he adjusted his custom cuffs.

Calming Vanessa down over the phone had taken a bit of effort. But he always handled these things perfectly.

With the minor crisis averted, his plan was simple.

Give his loyal wife a romantic dance, smooth over his brief absence, and keep his flawless life completely intact.

"Claire?"

Stepping onto the terrace, his voice echoed against the night sky.
