I took a day off. I needed certainty, to see it myself before giving up completely and to give myself one last chance.

Maybe property management was wrong. Maybe the man surnamed Reed wasn't Michael. Maybe this was all a misunderstanding. I knew I was deceiving myself, but I still wanted to see.
