Day twelve.

The first thing Nathan did when he woke up was to grab his phone and check the date.

He muttered, "What the hell? Why is it already the twelfth?"

Charlotte blinked awake.

"Nathan, are you okay?" she asked.

Nathan ran a hand through his hair, looking close to losing it.

"I'm fine," he replied.

Charlotte reached out for a hug. Nathan froze for a moment, but finally let her hold him.

"Nathan, you've been kind of spaced out these past few days. I'm really worried," she mumbled.
