I got to the office at eight sharp the next morning.

Right at nine, the head of Starlight Harbor Group called. "Ms. Grant, confirming the project withdrawal?"

"Confirmed," I replied.

"Grant Enterprises might have some objections."

"Let them come to me."

I didn't pick up when Mike called. I ignored Charles's calls, too.

By noon, Bennett Corporation's stock price had tanked. At two in the afternoon, Mike showed up at my office himself.

He walked in and said, "Emily, take back the withdrawal notice."

"Your reason?" I said.

"The Starlight Harbor Initiative can't be stopped. Grant Enterprises has been working…
