I left the agreement on the coffee table in the living room, where it was impossible to miss.

At ten o'clock that night, Edward came home.

He spotted the agreement as soon as he walked in, paused for a moment, then picked it up.

When he saw the part about splitting assets and realized I wasn't after his company shares, just wanted to get the divorce over with as soon as possible, the shock on his face quickly turned into delight.
