Chapter 4

After waiting a few days and still not seeing Andrew sign the divorce papers, I couldn't help but call him up to push things along.

I said, "Andrew, just sign the damn papers already. Once this is done, we're finished, no more ties between us.

"The kid stays with me. As for the rest of the stuff, take whatever you want."

Andrew didn't say a word, then suddenly burst out laughing.

"Vivian, you're shameless," he sneered.

I froze, completely baffled. I was just asking for a divorce, not even taking any of our stuff; how did that make me shameless…
