Chapter 4

I shove past the swinging doors of the surgical prep unit, with Arthur and the hospital chief administrator right behind me.

Julian is standing outside room four. He sees me and immediately blocks the door.

"Call security," Julian snaps at the nurses. "I am her legal guardian, and this surgery is proceeding as planned."

"Stop the prep right now," I tell the chief administrator.

Julian pulls out his phone and plays a video for the medical staff. "My daughter is doing this completely voluntarily to save her sister."
