Ever since I was little, I've been hard to kill. At five, my grandma tricked me into holding a firecracker. She wanted to blow off my hand so she could get a disability certificate and push for a grandson. I tossed it right back into her clothes. She had a heart attack on the spot and barely made it. In elementary school, my dad took out three life insurance policies on me. Our house caught fire three times. A neighbor pulled me out every single time. After that came drowning. Hit-and-runs. Electrocution. I barely made it to high school. Then someone offered 150 thousand for one of my kidneys. My parents said yes behind my back. On the day of the surgery, a couple burst into the OR. "Touch one hair on our daughter's head, and you'll pay,"the man shouted. Right before I blacked out, I saw a well-dressed woman running toward me, tears streaming down her face. "I'm so sorry, baby," she said. "Mommy's here now."
