Chapter 4

On my way home, I stopped by the market. I bought a watermelon, then headed to the lamb stall to pick out a piece of meat.

"Miss, lamb and watermelon shouldn't be eaten together. It's not good for your health," the stall owner, an older woman, warned when she noticed the watermelon in my other hand.

"Madam, do you always remind customers about this?" I asked lightly.

"Of course—" she started.

But I didn't bother listening to the rest. It didn't matter anymore.
