Just as they were about to leave, I stopped Edward.

"Wait," I called out.

Edward smiled.

"What? Having second thoughts?" Edward teased.

"Just admit you were wrong, and I'll take you to Riverview Tower for your birthday tonight," he said.

"Whatever birthday present you want, I'll get it for you," he added.

I frowned and pointed at the mess he'd made in the house.

Then I gestured to the two slap marks on my face.

"You think you can just walk away after all this? How about covering my medical bills and the cost of the damage before you leave?"…
