Sylvie had booked the tasting at the city's best hotel three days in advance. Melvin got tied up in a last-minute international meeting, so she came by herself.

This hotel was the most expensive wedding venue in the city. The revolving restaurant on the top floor offered a panoramic view of the skyline.

Rumor had it that bookings were already full through next year.
