"Come," Kaleb said softly, his hand still gently cradling my injured wrist. "Let me show you something."

I followed him warily through the dense forest, my wolf Luna still unsettled by our encounter with the notorious Rogue King. The silver burns on my wrists throbbed with each heartbeat, a constant reminder of Brooklynn's cruelty.

"We're almost there," Kaleb said, his deep voice oddly comforting in the gathering dusk.

We crested a small hill, and I gasped.

Below us stretched a sprawling meadow filled with neat rows of herbs—lavender, sage, chamomile, wolfsbane—all arranged exactly as they had been in my garden…
