Chapter 7

Giorgia’s POV

The last trace of the balm had disappeared. I stared at my phone. I couldn’t go home. If the man in the alley had found me, someone else could find me too.

There was only one person I trusted. Isabella.

She answered before the second ring. “Giorgia?”

“I need you.”

Her voice changed immediately. “Where are you?”

“Outside your building.”

“I’m coming.”

Minutes later, the door opened. Isabella rushed toward me, her expression changing when she saw my face. “Giorgia. What happened?”

“Can we go upstairs?”

She didn’t ask again. Once inside, she locked the door. “Tell me.”
