Chapter 3
Word spread like wildfire, and the whole house erupted in cheers.
"Mrs. Mills is just like an angel!" one maid exclaimed.
"Ever since Mrs. Mills arrived, Russell has really come out of his shell," another said.
"Russell and Mrs. Mills are a match made in heaven," someone else chimed in.
Russell stood frozen, his hand still hovering in the air.
He started waving his hands around like crazy, moving so fast they practically left afterimages. "That's not what I meant! I didn't say that!"
Everyone was frozen in shock.
"Mrs. Mills, is Russell okay?" one of the maids asked.
I just smiled.
"He's just really excited, waving his hands all over the place," I said.
Everyone started whispering among themselves.
"Never thought Russell had such an adorable side," someone murmured.
"It's such a cute contrast," another giggled.

That night, Russell just resigned himself to his fate.
Or maybe it was just too many oysters.
Life just kept rolling along.
During the day, I'd translate his sign language however crazy I wanted.
At night, I'd mess with him however I liked, just doing whatever felt good.
I got to know a whole bunch of porn stars.
That day, while it was still light out, I grabbed Russell and pulled him toward the bedroom.
He struggled, but I held him down.
"Don't move," I told him.
I unbuttoned his shirt and gave him a thorough once-over, inside and out.
"You look amazing," I teased.
His eyes turned red with embarrassment.
I pulled out my tablet, scrolled to a new movie I'd just saved, and hit play on a certain scene.
"Honey, let's try this tonight," I said with a mischievous grin.
He glanced at the screen, and his eyes went wide in shock.
He shook his head frantically.
I held him down.
"Did you know? Back in school, I actually took first place in horseback riding," I teased.
He struggled even more.
But it didn't do him any good.
I had strength to spare.
Right as I climbed on top of him, a few lines of translucent text floated across my vision.
They slid from right to left, just like those streaming comments you see in videos.
[Wait, what? Where did this villainess come from? How did she end up hooking up with the male lead?]
I was stunned.
Another line drifted by.
[The male lead has been saving himself for the heroine all this time, and now the evil side chick is totally jumping him. Poor guy!]
My hand froze in mid-air.
What is this?
I rubbed my eyes, wondering if I was just seeing things.
More floating comments drifted across my vision.
[Girl, where are you? Your hubby's getting ridden by another woman!]
[The villainess still has no clue the male lead's just pretending—he's already got his strength back.]
[Funny, she's still bouncing on top.]
[No worries, once the male lead reclaims his inheritance, the first person he'll kick out is this villainess.]
Reclaim his inheritance?
Kick me out?
He was just pretending?
My legs went weak.
Can Russell actually hear me?
Then that means...
I looked down at him.
He was looking right at me.
Normally, at a moment like this, he'd turn his head away, his eyes all red, looking like he'd just been totally bullied.
But this time, he didn't shy away.
He just kept his gaze fixed on me.
His gaze was dark and impossible to read.
My legs went completely weak.
Russell was famous for being a total badass in the story.
Back in college, he turned three money-losing subsidiaries under the Mills Group into profitable ones.
Even industry insiders would get chills just mentioning his name.
If he really got his strength back...
He could squash me like a bug.
I screamed and tumbled off him.
Clothes be damned, I bolted out of there on all fours.
I'd barely made it three steps when someone grabbed me by the back of my neck.
It was low, laced with a smile and just a bit husky. "Not in the mood anymore?"
My heart nearly jumped out of my chest.
"R-Russell... You're okay now? Since when?" I stammered.
He laughed softly. "A month ago."
Does that mean everything I did to him this past month...
He was totally aware the whole time?!
I was so freaked out I grabbed onto the doorframe for support.
More floating comments drifted across my vision.
[Did the villainess just figure it out?]
[No way, this villainess has an IQ of an ant—she'll never get it.]
[Oh my, the way she's holding onto the doorframe, she looks just like a scared little quail.]
Right now, I've figured out three things.
First, I've transmigrated into a novel, and I've got this whole barrage system—like streaming comments—floating around me.
And the best part? Only I can see it.
Second, according to the comments, I'm the dumb villainess with an IQ of an ant, and the male lead is definitely going to deal with me sooner or later.
