Synopsis

My husband's older brother had barely been gone when he decided he needed to take care of Grace and her daughter. "She's raising a child alone. I'll go see them more, and I'll help out financially too," he said like it was only natural. I kept mopping the floor and answered without even looking up. "Fine. If you get to play the devoted brother, then I get to be the devoted sister. From today on, you take care of Grace, and I'll take care of Mark. However much time, energy, and money you spend on her, I'll do the exact same for him. If this marriage is going to work, it works fair. If you want double standards, then we can each live our own lives. And from now on, neither of us gets to call the other out for crossing the line."
