Upon awakening the following morning, Graham was sitting beside my hospital bed. The moment he saw my eyes open, he hurried over, guilt etched across his face. "Elianna, you're awake? I'm really sorry... Are you in pain? What would you like to eat? I brought your favorite things..."

He presented various expensive gifts and vitamins, but I just stared vacantly at the ceiling, my eyes void of emotion.

After Graham went to get soup for me, Ivey slipped into the room, a smirk playing on her lips, "Well, if it isn't the hero who just gave up a kidney."
