Chapter 6

The boat drifted on the sea all afternoon.

By the time we got back, it was almost dark. Michael docked the boat and drove me back to the hotel. When we pulled up to the entrance, he asked, "Want to hang out again tomorrow?"

"Let's see," I said.

"Alright, call me if anything comes up," Michael replied.

Back in my room, I showered, changed clothes, and was just wondering where to find some food when my phone rang.

I could hear airport announcements in the background, along with heavy breathing.

"Sophie, I'm at Seaside Bay now," Alex said.
