As I "consulted" with the experts, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

Lucas's symptoms did fit a rare neurological sleep disorder, but some of his reactions were too dramatic and consistent: he could only sleep well when Edward was around. That was almost impossible in medicine.

My suspicions kept growing.
