Chapter 2
I was in the middle of a carefree shopping spree at the mall with my father's credit card in hand.
Suddenly, I heard someone call out to me.
"Are you that model? I'm a fan of yours," said a girl wearing a mask.
Not even thinking about it, I just nodded in response.
But in the very next instant, she whipped off her mask and glared at me with pure malice.
"That's her. Get her, girls!" she barked.
As soon as I saw her face, it hit me—she was Wife-To-Be, the streamer I had been on live with last night.
At her signal, four super attractive girls stepped up, forming a tight circle around me.
Two girls in the back had already started streaming, holding up a banner that read, "Kill Mistresses! Justice for the Wives!"
Before I could even get a word out, Wife-To-Be jumped right in with her speech.
She yelled, "Girls, you all know how many of you I've helped out since I started streaming with the Wife Alliance. But this time, I, Jessica Smith, need your help. This homewrecker tried to steal my fiancé.
"My fiancé and I were about to tie the knot, but all because of her, he wouldn't even look at me now. And see that card she's holding? That's my fiancé's. Plus, that designer gown she's flaunting was supposed to be mine. She stole them from me."
After she finished, Jessica burst into tears.
"What the hell is this? Some kind of prank? Did you get the wrong person?" I said, rolling my eyes and trying to squeeze my way out of the circle.
But her squad grabbed me right back. Their long nails scraped my skin.
"Look at her. She obviously had plastic surgery, and she probably used that guy's cash to pay for it," one of the girls sneered.
"Girls in her line of work just use their youth and looks to become rich guy's lovers. Guess she can't get enough attention," another jeered.
Jessica's crew kept hurling insults at me, one after another.
I couldn't stand it any longer, so I bumped her with my body.
"Watch your mouth! I could sue you for slandering," I snapped.
But that only fired them up even more.
Jessica sneered, "Seriously? A homewrecker dares to start a fight? You really think you got famous in modeling on your own? My boyfriend threw cash at you to pave your way.
"Are you still calling him 'Dad'? What a slut. Guess you've been with many men and learned a lot of tricks, huh?"
Her words totally confused me.
"I've never dated anyone, and I won't be someone's side chick. I earned everything I have myself. Don't believe rumors, and don't spread them," I fired back.
But Jessica and her army ignored everything I said.
They kept jamming their phones right up in my face.
I swatted their cameras away and tried to shield my face with my hands.
But Jessica was convinced I was trying to cover something up.
She sneered, "Are you hiding something, homewrecker?"
Then, at the top of her lungs, Jessica shouted to the busy crowd, "Hey everyone, I caught a side chick, and I'm going to teach her a lesson. Tune in and hit that follow button!"
I wanted to get out of there, since they had way more people.
But Jessica and her influencer squad pinned me down to the floor.
I was totally trapped, and Jessica whipped out a box cutter from her bag.
"I bet this homewrecker is hooking up with guys 24/7. Girls, let's rip her dress off and see for ourselves," Jessica said.
Then she started cutting my dress with the box cutter.
"It must be hard to earn money from being a side chick, huh? Let me wash some of that shame off you," she mocked.
My dress was shredded, and my shorts and bra were laid bare for the world to see.
Jessica still wasn't done. She grabbed a whole bucket of paint and splashed it right on me.
I struggled desperately and managed to break free from their hands. Terrified, I snatched up my phone and called my father as fast as I could.
