Chapter 4
Aria's POV
“Stay here, I'll check it out. It's probably nothing, we have security everywhere—”
A loud howl interrupted his words, and I screamed in horror as fear gripped me so hard that I thought I'd die. They found me. They followed me here and found me again. This couldn't be happening again.
Elias's eyes widened, but to my surprise, he didn't look surprised or scared, just alert.
“Stay here—”
“I can't! They'll find me and kill me!”
“I said stay here. I won't let anyone hurt you or come near you.” He replied with a confidence that made my heart feel at ease for some reason but I couldn't trust him. I've seen what these creatures did, and I knew he was no match for them. I mean, they literally got through his security.
“Where are you going?” I asked in horror as he moved toward the door and he turned to look at me with a nonchalant smile.
“To protect my mate.” He replied and before I could blink, he was gone. What mate? What the hell was he talking about?
Another loud, piercing howl echoed across the building and I curled into myself in fear. I had nowhere to run to this time. Worse, I just put Elias's life in danger and he might die because of me. There was no way I would let that happen.
Since they wanted me, they should take me instead.
Without thinking, I pulled down my skirt and ran out the door, wanting to save the one man who had been good to me since I showed up here.
However, the moment I ran down the stairs, what I saw had my jaw dropping in shock as I witnessed something I only thought I would see in my dreams. Elias was standing in the midst of these strange creatures and the next second, he was… changing.
I stumbled backward and fell on my butt but I barely registered the pain. My eyes were glued on Elias who had somehow changed from his human form to… to one of those strange creatures. Except he wasn't ugly-looking. His fur was white, fluffy even, and he looked like those breathtaking wolves I used to watch in movies.
But none of that mattered. My boss, the one I've always wanted so desperately, wasn't human. He was one of them. It made no sense.
I screamed so loud that I was sure I burst a blood vessel on my face. I couldn't believe I was living in the same house with someone like him, I even— I let him touch me!
Their eyes turned to me at once as soon as I screamed. His eyes met mine and I don't know if I saw an apology or guilt swirling in them. One of the creatures charged at me but Elias was faster, pulling it back and tearing it apart. I screamed again as I watched Elias tear them apart with an inhumanely impossible strength.
Then there was silence. He killed them all. His white fur was dripping with blood that was definitely not his, as he heaved and finally turned to look at me. Oh shit, he was definitely going to kill me too.
He walked closer to me, every step he took shaking the house and I scrambled backward in fear, crying and praying he wouldn't hurt me.
“Please… don't hurt me.” I pleaded as I backed up to the wall with my eyes closed. When nothing happened, I opened my eyes to see him kneel beside me, now back to his human form, and f*cking hell, he was naked.
His d*ck was definitely bigger than I imagined and I wanted to know what it would be like if it was inside me—
He's an animal, Aria, get it together!
“I'm not going to hurt you, pretty one.” He muttered softly as his fingers brushed my cheeks gently and instead of pulling away, I found myself leaning closer. What was he doing to me?
“I-I don't trust you… I mean, you're just like them! They've chased me all my life, haunted me, and made me look like I was crazy. A-and you're one of them—”
“I'm not like them. Those are rogues.”
“What?”
“Rogues. They're werewolves who cannot switch back to their human form because they were punished for a crime they committed. I am an alpha.” He explained and my head spun for a moment as I held up my hand for him to stop.
I knew werewolves existed. I had been doing my research ever since I first saw them. I just didn't believe that it was possible for alphas to actually exist.
“You mean there are other werewolves like you that can switch between their animal and human form?” I asked and he raised a brow in amusement.
“Well, if you put it like that, yes.” He replied and I let out a scoff of disbelief. My eyes kept drifting to his cock, which was a huge distraction, and he finally caught me, a lazy smirk forming on his lips.
“Like what you see?” He asked and my face burned instantly as I looked away, clearing my throat. “You don't have to be shy about it. You want it. You want me.”
“Well, yeah, I did. Before I realized you were an animal!” I blurted out before realizing what I just said. Fuck. “I'm sorry—”
“If you think, we're all animals anyway, so no offense taken.” He replied and I let out a sigh of relief. “But let me show you how animalistic I can be.” He added and lifted me off the ground, causing me to yelp in shock.
Dead “rogues” lay on the floor in the sitting room, but all I could think of was how badly I wanted this “animal” to be in me. I was supposed to be scared of him but something kept pulling me to him. Like a damn bond.
“What are you gonna do to me?” I asked and he plac
ed me on the bed before hovering over me with a smirk.
“I'm gonna mark you and make you mine.”
