Chapter 1
On the third day after Angela Morton said she could see live comments, the school bully, Dale Jenning, dragged her into the woods.
I rushed over to stop him, but he grabbed me by the throat. "Stay out of it. Your sister wants this."
That night, Angela excitedly told me, "The live comments say that if I follow the plot, I can marry a rich man."
I secretly switched her medication to something for mental illness, and she finally stopped seeing the live comments.
The day Dale announced his new girlfriend, Angela shoved me into the bathtub and said, "You ruined my shot at marrying rich!"
When I woke up, I found myself back on the first day Angela claimed she could see the live comments.
This time, I smiled and nodded. "You're right, Angela. The live comments are spot on."

My last conscious thought was of the murky, soap-scented water swirling in the bathtub, and Angela's face, warped by jealousy and insanity.
She said, "This is all your fault. If you hadn't gotten in my way, I could've followed the comments, hooked up with Dale, and married into money!"
She pinned my neck down with a death grip, like she was determined to drag me down with her.
I choked on icy water, pain exploding in my chest as darkness slowly swallowed up my vision.
I didn't want to go down like this.
I just wanted to save her, to keep her from getting sucked in by those bizarre live comments, and to stop her from falling for Dale and ending up in that mess.
The suffocating grip of death wrapped around my soul like a curse I couldn't shake.
I sucked in a desperate breath, coughing hard, but instead of the hell I'd braced for, I was back in my sun-drenched bedroom.
A faded calendar was taped to the wall, and a childhood photo of me and Angela was propped up in the corner of my desk.
My phone screen glowed, and the time on it hit me, I was back.
I had time-traveled to the day Angela first claimed she could see the live comments.
My heart was pounding so hard it felt like it might burst through my ribs. The icy despair from the bathtub still clung to my skin, and the sting of that suffocating pain lingered in my chest.
"London, come here. I've got some amazing news!" Angela's shrill, excited voice pierced through the door.
It matched the memory of that morning when she pulled me over, talking my ear off about live comments, the main character, and Dale.
I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms, using the sting to force myself to stay calm.
Last time, I was worried sick about her and tried everything to convince her it was just a hallucination, maybe even a mental illness. I pleaded with her to see a doctor, and even secretly switched her meds.
In the end, she held me down and killed me in that freezing bathtub.
She said I'd ruined her shot at marrying into money.
Alright then, this time, I would make sure to grant her dream come true.
Dale was a spoiled trust-fund brat and campus tyrant who treated women like toys and did whatever shady stuff he wanted.
Our mother, Alma Morton, who was so ridiculously biased that she would do everything for Angela.
None of them were getting off the hook.
I took a deep breath, forcing down the storm of emotions in my eyes, and opened the door.
Angela was clutching her phone, her face flushed with a manic excitement. As soon as she saw me, she rushed over and grabbed my arm, her grip way stronger than you'd expect.
"London, can you believe it? I think I'm actually the main character in this world!"
Her eyes were shining crazily as she pointed at thin air. "Can't you see them? The words are floating right here.
"They say I'm the chosen one, and Dale, that bully and trust fund kid, is my destined match. He is the classic bad boy type, oh my god. He's destined to be my male lead!"
