Chapter 2
Chapter 2 Tristan
I wiped the cum off my face as the cowboy slapped my back and stepped out of the stall with my dick stiffer than a rod.
God! I loved men.
There was something about the moans, the groans and how men went out of control with their release. I knew this one wouldn't be reciprocating but it was fun regardless. I stepped outside to ditch the party and call it a night when I caught sight of someone that made my stomach drop.
There was only one man I recognised with shoulders that broad, a waist that thin, and a height that makes you feel small.
Shit.
It can't be.
It better not.
My gut twisted hard.
Adam.
It happened too fast and I couldn't get a good look before he walked out the door but-
No, there were other farmers here. Anyone could look that familiar... Right?
I swallowed hard. I couldn't believe I was still hoping I was wrong. What I felt was real. The panic was real. I knew deep within me who that was.
How long was he here? What did he see? How much did he see? Damn it!
Sure he'd heard the rumours. Who hadn't? I'd never confirmed the rumours. I'd never denied them either. I should've told Adam. He was my closest friend and I knew he could keep his mouth shut. Why didn't I tell him sooner?
I was scared of how he'd react. Scared of how he'd look at me. It was easier to get on my knees and blow off men, but to actually face the one I care about and watch them judge me? I couldn't handle it.
I could lose him forever.
"C'mon, man! Not you too, Tristan." One of the farmers whined. "Adam left a few minutes ago. Now you too? You guys are boring!"
Fuck. He was here.
I took the long walk home, convincing myself it wasn't him. When I stepped into the living room, our eyes locked.
My heart skipped a beat.
Adam was drop dead gorgeous. No wonder women tried to talk to him but he always wore a poker face. Right now, his hair was wet. He just stepped out of the shower. He was wearing a tank top and he showed off his biceps.
I tried not to drool like always. I looked him in the eye and said, "I'm going to shower. Let's talk."
He nodded, saying nothing.
The silence in the air was too heavy. The room, too quiet. We were both off and I wondered if he noticed too. Was I too obvious?
I searched his face for any sign that he knew, but he gave off nothing. I walked out of the living room and headed straight to the showers to wash myself clean off the evidence.
I spent a long time in the shower, mustering the courage to face him and ask. When I eventually got out, I couldn't find Adam in the living room.
Did he leave because he couldn't stand me?
My thoughts spiralled. I wasn't sure what was going on but I wanted to move past this.
I headed to his room and I knocked on his door a few times. My heart was drumming loud. I swallowed hard as I said, "Hey, Adam, you in?"
Silence. He didn't respond.
Was he avoiding me? Was this his reaction to what he saw?
My heart couldn't take it. Was this him shutting me out? Telling me he wanted nothing to do with my gay ass?
"I'm right here."
I almost jumped out of my skin at the deep velvet voice that came from behind me.
I turned and lifted my neck to Adam. He had quite an impressive height and he managed to make a man with my size feel so small.
I suddenly felt trapped between him and the door. I gulped, searching his face again, waiting for the disgust to show up, the judgement. But no matter how little, he didn't give me anything to work with.
The words suddenly died in my throat. How do I ask? What do I say? Maybe I should've let morning come.
His poker face just stared right back at me, waiting for me to get the words out.
"I-I uhm... I said we needed to talk," I stuttered, clearing my throat like I had everything under control. Like I wasn't a wrecking ball inside my head. The words clawed at my throat as he continued to look at me that way.
My heart was beating twice as fast.
"Did you attend the party?"
"Yes."
My knees weakened.
Was that a grumble?
"It was compulsory anyways," he added, narrowing his eyes.
My courage started to shrink, "How was it?"
He held my gaze again. A moment passed with him saying nothing. My palms started to sweat.
He opened his mouth, closed it then finally said, "Eventful."
Guess I put on quite the show.
But I swallowed the words.
I didn't have the balls to say that.
Not when I didn't know exactly how he felt about seeing me in the way he did.
"If there's nothing else, I'll head to bed first," he stepped forward.
"No, wait!"
Panicked, I thrust my hand out and they landed on his rock hard chest. My cheeks heated up shamefully. I couldn't withdraw my hand. Didn't have the strength in me to do so.
His body heat engulfed me.
"Tristan?"
Holy mother of horses!
My knees almost gave out. Looking at him up close, I could see every speck of gorgeousness. We've been up close before but never with this kind of air around us.
What was different this time? I wondered.
"Y-Yeah...?" I stuttered, because when he was this close and I could feel his breath on my face, it was impossible to think properly.
"Move."
One word.
My world shattered. I stepped aside and let him pass. I still had more to say but the slamming of his door made it clear.
Adam didn't want to talk.
What did this mean for our friendship?
