Chapter 2
I let out a sigh. This money really wasn't easy to earn.
Afraid he'd fully sober up in a minute, I quietly pulled a liquor-filled chocolate out of my pocket and slowly peeled back the wrapper.
I explained, "How is this kidnapping? I didn't tie up your hands, I didn't bind your feet, and we're still in your place. You're drunk, and as your neighbor, I'm just taking care of you because I was worried."
The first time, I hadn't gotten the dose right with the chocolate. This time I split it into four pieces, but Lucas turned his head away and absolutely refused to open his mouth.
Left with no choice, I climbed right onto his lap, held his jaw with one hand, and tried my best to shove the half-melted chocolate into his mouth with the other.
I coaxed him, "Luke, stop fighting it. Just think of it as getting a little buzzed."
[No idea why, but this scene feels a little... uh... not exactly kid-friendly.]
[Compared to Lucas looking like some chaste, wronged househusband, why does the streamer seem more like the villain?]
[So what? If the villain had locked up the heroine, who knows what would've happened. Streamer, keep humiliating him hard!]
I pinched red marks into Lucas's pale face before I finally managed to get the melting chocolate from my fingertips into his mouth.
And not wanting to waste any of it, I even hooked his tongue and stirred it around a little.
Lucas glared at me viciously, but his eyes had gone watery. Then he suddenly bit down on the finger I was trying to pull back.
I sucked in a sharp breath. The hand holding his jaw slipped to his neck and clamped down hard as I cursed.
I snapped, "What are you, a dog? Let go already!"
Fingers hurt like hell, and the more it hurt, the harder I squeezed.
He definitely broke the skin. Damn it.
Only when Lucas's face flushed did he finally let my fingertip slip from his mouth and slump back against the couch.
Then his tongue swept the blood from the corner of his lips, and his throat bobbed as he swallowed it.
He looked at me dead-on and gave me a smile that still carried the taste of blood.
Lucas taunted, "That's all it took to scare you?"
I shook my bitten hand, feeling like I'd already lost too much blood and was turning weak. How much iron was I gonna need to make up for this?
This time, I didn't hesitate. I angrily slapped Lucas across the face.
Talking big was useless. The comments were right. The best punishment for Lucas was making him feel that kind of pain himself.
So I grabbed Lucas's hand, bit open his fingertip the same way, and held it in my mouth while glaring at him.
The casual smile on Lucas's face changed instantly, and a muffled groan escaped him.
Lucas groaned, "Lila, let go!"
I ignored him and sucked a few hard times. The metallic taste filled my mouth in an instant, and it grossed me out so badly I almost threw up.
I hadn't really believed it before, but now it looked like Lucas really was born villain material. He could actually do messed-up stuff like this.
But for the sake of the blood I'd lost, I still swallowed it right in front of him.
I shot back, "If you're not scared, why should I be?"
Lucas didn't even look at his blanched fingertip. His chest rose and fell with shallow breaths, and something dark flashed through his eyes as he stared straight at me.
I glared right back at him.
Yeah, now you know what pain feels like.
