I looked out the window at the overpass in the distance.

A few cars were moving along at a steady pace.

"What if, in moderate rain and glare, your detection system mistakes a stopped pedestrian for a road sign? What happens then?" I asked.

"I understand," Mark finally said.

"What are you going to do?" I asked.

"We'll start an independent investigation. But it'll take some time," Mark replied.
