Chapter 4

Alexei holds Jack at arms length, drinking in the state of him as fast as possible.

His hands slide up Jack's neck and cup his cheeks, thumbs swiping across the freckles he loves so dearly.

Jack's dark eyes are huge, pupils blown wide, but Alexei supposes that's to be expected.

He doesn't get much farther in his assessment because Jack launches himself at Alexei again, this time with the single-minded goal of capturing his lips for himself.

Historically, Alexei's never been very good at telling Jack no, and he figures now isn't the time to start.

Besides, he's kidding himself…
