Chapter 5

Ethan's POV

When Ethan came home, he noticed Nora's wedding ring beside his watch on the bedside tray.

He stood there for a few seconds, expecting her to walk out and explain this latest gesture.

The house remained silent.

Picking up the ring, he murmured, "Nora, what exactly are you doing?"

He put it back and reached for his phone.

[What exactly are you trying to do?]

When no reply came, he frowned and set the phone beside his watch.

She had never left her ring before, but he still believed she would calm down and come home.
