After I got together with Edward, I always felt sorry for him because he seemed so poor.

Whenever we went out, I'd always grab the check and make sure we ate at the cheapest spots.

We only went to the movies on half-price days.

For his birthday, I blew an entire month's paycheck on a watch for him.

When he took it, he looked kind of indifferent, and I thought maybe he felt bad that I spent so much.
