"I know," William said, his voice dropping. "That's why I've shouldered all his burdens for the past ten years. Even going through with the marriage to Julia, I did it."

He looked up, exhaustion in his eyes that had weighed on him for a decade. "But Dad, I'm not him. I have my own life I wanna live."

Richard Shaw closed the photo album and looked up, "Are you going to give up everything to be with that girl?"
