I moved into the apartment Richard gave me.

It was a luxury penthouse in the west of the city, over 3,000 square feet, with high-end decor. From the window, I could see half the city's lights spread out below.

But living here alone, all I felt was emptiness and cold.

I set the only photo I had of my dad on the nightstand. In the picture, he wore a gentle smile.
