Justin snapped, his voice suddenly shooting up. "That's because I handled it in time.

"If you'd wasted another half hour, you wouldn't be here arguing. You'd be getting the news that your wife died.

"If I were you, I'd be down on my knees thanking God you didn't end up being called a wife-killer, instead of lashing out like a mad dog at the person who saved her!"

"Justin," I called out softly, my voice hoarse and tired.

That was enough. I was just sick of all this arguing, all these scenes.

Arguing was pointless, and blaming people never changed…
