Right after that, the sounds of them going at it echoed out.

I was suffocating from heartbreak. Unable to listen any longer, I stumbled out of the hotel.

After I pulled myself together, I headed back to the party. From across the room, I noticed Samuel walking ahead, with Sophie following closely behind him down the hallway.

Sophie saw me first. Taking advantage of Samuel not noticing, she sauntered over to me.

"Emily," she said, "I'm the one who sent those messages. My Facebook posts are just about my life with Mr. Foster."
