It turned out there were signs all along, but I was too obtuse. It took Arian saying "you're ugly" to my face before I snapped out of my one-sided crush.

Unable to stand it anymore, I turned off my phone screen, as if running from it.

My chest was pounding, hurting so bad.

Funny thing was, I was the clueless clown in all this, but in Josie's entries, I somehow came off like the thief—stealing their right to date openly, forcing them to sneak around just to be together.
