Chapter 5

Sabrina had been watching with a darkened expression.

She walked right up and hooked her arm through Lucas', acting like it was the most natural thing in the world.

"Long time no see, Bridget. Lucas came with me for my prenatal check-up," she said, all casual and smug.

Her baby bump was obvious now, and she gave me that familiar, mocking stare, like she was still enjoying every second of my misery.

"You're pregnant too?" she asked, her tone laced with disbelief.

She looked me up and down, her gaze sharp and critical.

Suddenly, I felt like messing with her.
