Hazel's head was ringing. Her mind went completely blank. It felt like everything inside her was out of place and hurting.

She cried. Her tears were for herself and for Keith.

'Did Keith really have to get beaten up over and over just to scrape together that kind of money?' Hazel thought to herself.
