My meeting with Victor was set at a private club.

He was younger than I'd expected, barely thirty, dressed in laid-back clothes, but his presence filled the room.

He didn't waste a second and jumped right into business as soon as we sat down.

"Dr. Sinclair, I've gone through all the SN-7 data. Two questions: first, have you picked a CRO for Phase I yet?" Victor asked.

"We're still negotiating," I said.

"Go with BioCore Clinical. They're the best in oncology, and they move fast. I'll put you in touch."

"And the second question?"
